Children’s Ministry

Fellowship. Faith. FUN!

At St. Francis UMC, we love children to be involved in worship and in the life of the church.

We want each child who comes to church to experience the love and grace of God.

We also hope that they learn about how God's story is part of their own stories through Bible lessons, music, mission, and fellowship!

Mission Possible Kids (4th and 5th graders)

Quarterly gatherings, Sundays 3-5pm

Our 4th and 5th grade students will explore their faith, develop friendships, and discover their unique gifts in a way that’s just right for them in preparation of being a part of the SFUMC Youth Ministry.  We do this through fun activities, discussions, and service projects.

Children During Worship

Nursery

Our nursery is available during worship for ages birth to 4 years old. Children will play, read books, and have a snack. Drop off begins at 10:00am, and pick up after the service.

PARENTS: When dropping off your child for nursery, please tell the nursery worker your child’s name and put a name tag on them. Please let the nursery worker know if they have a snack in their bag AND if they are potty trained.

Messy Church

Our Messy Church area is located in the back of the sanctuary where babies and toddlers may play quietly with parental supervision.

Activity Bags

Activity bags are available for our younger worship attenders and can be found in the Messy Church area at the back of the sanctuary.

Children’s Moment

We love having children participate in worship, so we have included a time during the service for them to gather at the altar for a short Bible lesson and prayer. All ages are welcome!

Children’s Church

Children’s Church takes place during the worship service following the Children’s Moment for grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. This is a time for children to learn, have fun, and grow in the their knowledge of Jesus. They will hear a Bible story, play games, have crafts, and share a prayer. Children will return to worship during the last song or just before Communion.

Empowering Parents

Empowering Parents, Supporting Families is a ministry of St. Francis United Methodist Church which offers parents and care givers research-based education to support the healthy growth and development of children and youth.
